Empty Bowls 2012 Call for Artists

Empty Bowls June 23rd. 2012 has a GREAT DEAL for Artists this year!

There are some major changes to the Artists’ opportunities this year.
...
To offset any concerns about the weather on June 23rd we are offering Artists space in a large tent at no cost and also the choice of bringing your own small tent or canopy to set up outside if you prefer.

Artists are asked to donate a piece of art for the silent auction and this year can receive a tax deductible receipt for the fair market value of the piece (see point 6 in the AGREEMENT document for details).

All artists are asked to submit by return email an hi-res jpg (300 dpi) of themselves at work, or an hi-res jpg of one of their pieces of art, as well as a 50 word biography by the registration date.

The photo (jpg) and the short biography will appear in the electronic media (websites, Facebook, etc.) used by the event facilitators to promote the event.

This information will also be incorporated into the silent auction bidding sheet so that a person making a bid on the art will learn something about the artist and will have the opportunity to chat with the artist at the event.

There are two ways to register for this Airdrie Food Bank fund raiser:

online at:
http://www.emptybowlsairdrie.com/artist_info.html by no later than May 22nd.

by hand: Fill in the forms attached to this email, get the forms, the jpg and your 50 word bio to the Airdrie Food bank by no later than May 22nd.

There are a limited number of spaces available: First come, First served! Send your application in today!
